Soft Screenings

willow screen.jpg

If you're in need of a bit of privacy, then this willow screening from Gone Gardening is not a bad place to start. It comes in 3 by 1/ 2 metre panels and is reduced from £32.99 to £24.99. They also have some finely woven reed and bamboo screens, which are also on sale. In fact it's the most useful looking gardening sale I've seen in a while, you may find there are a number of things you actually need.

Easter Planting

yarrow.jpg

It's time to forget the weather forecasts, grab your trowel and secateurs and get planting. Of course all the major diy outlets have discounts this weekend and Homebase is no exception. There's up to 20% off most purchases, making this striking £5.99 red Yarrow an essential purchase.

Bird Delights

If you know the kids are going to be on a chocolate high over Easter, then maybe making this Urchin bird treat will be a necessary calmer. This 'award-winning' bird house is well designed in that the pieces do fit and everything you need is there. It may cost £14.99 but will bring everyone hours of tweeting pleasure.

Garden Frames

agriframes.jpg

If arches, pergolas, gazebos or obelisks are on your shopping list today, then head to Agriframes for an inspiring collection. This Gothic screen panel would add great drama and shape to a garden and costs £84 for a 1.2m (4ft) x 2.3m (7ft 6ins) section. I'm afraid our garden is too small for this, so I'm going to check out the kitchen garden products.

Beach Cobbles

beach cobble.jpg

Woolworths is not an obvious place to think of when it comes to hard garden landscaping. But they have a fairly decent range of tools, decking, pergolas and hard core, like this Dandys beach pebbles for £142.99 a tonne. Yes it's a natural product, but there are no clues as to where it has come from - let's just hope it's not a beach near you.

Sitting Pretty

teak chair.jpg

The Cyan brochure has fallen out every magazine I've picked up recently, so felt obliged to feature them. Plus they have a sale on, so this teak bench would normally cost £259 but could be yours for £159.99 -plus will be delivered fully assembled. There's a lot of competition in this field - but the wood is sustainably sourced and the crafmanship quality is pretty high. Put it this way it won't fall apart after 5 minutes or collapse under the burden of a heavy relative.
