Tube seat with a difference

tube map chair.jpg

I'm not sure how happy I would be to relax on this tube map chair if I've just had the journey from hell. Then again this £59 chair from The Urban Garden company would make a great gift for the current hordes trying to escape the city. They also have a fantastic range of garden furniture sets from the chic and cheap bistro to the downright opulent.

Alpaca Beauties

If you're looking for a unique and often personalised gift, then head for the Not on the High Street site. Tons of inspired ideas and well crafted, individual products. This luxurious sandy alpaca throw is Peruvian cashmere at it's finest. It costs £59.50 and is sourced from Las Mantas who donate one per cent of all sales to environmental charities via 1% For The Planet. So now you own a picnic rug for the summer and a cosy blanket for the colder months, ideal given the current weather mayhem.

Wye - Vale?

primula.jpg

I'm not sure where I've had my head buried, but am I the only one who hasn't been to one of Wyevale's 100 garden centres? This crowd have been around since 1967 and practically started the whole plant in a plastic container to take away idea. This deep crimson Primula Pulverulenta comes in a 2 litre pot and costs £6.99. They currently have a 1/3 off selected specimen plants which I failed to find on their site - did find lots of helpful tips and great herbs though.

Coloured Fences

colourfence.jpg

I find a lot of fencing very staid and quite frankly boring. So Colourfence does offer a good alternative to traditional wooden fencing. It's pretty special in that it's made out of high tensile steel making it extremely strong but very lightweight too. If it does what it says on the tin, then it doesn't warp, corrode or fade and can stand up in winds of up to 130 miles per hour. Now there's just a small issue of price, does it come in every colour of the rainbow and can it withstand our current monsoon weather? Well being completely recyclable and guaranteed for 10 years suggests a certain confidence in the product.
