Indoors or outdoors, this new Fishing chair from those creative people at Eco Homestore is very striking. They've taken some reclaimed steel tubing and made it into a chair frame, the decorative seat pattern has been created by using two colours of fishing line. It costs £110 and is made in Senegal on a Fair Trade Basis - can't say fairer than that.

I think willow fencing is a great choice, as it's makes a really pleasing garden feature while performing a very practical task. What makes these Cornish willow hurdles really special is that they are hand-made at Trovis Farm in Cornwall. It's a small holding, which consists of 24 acres of mixed pasture and woodland. So far they've planted a mixed fruit orchard and set up several wildlife areas with tree planting schemes. The willow hurdles start at £23 for a 6 by 2ft panel and go upto £70 for a 6 by 6 ft panel. Your fencing will be beautiful and green.

I've never given ladders much thought, but this one caught my eye at Greenfingers . I love the fact that it's collapsable and has a manual lock for each tread. It extends to 3.3m, yet collapses down to just 78cm and weighs only 10kg due to its anodised aluminium construction. This makes for incredibly easy transportation and access to awkward locations. No wonder Telesteps have won several design awards, it's not cheap at £179 (reduced from £199) but we are talking about a ladder for life.
