The Pier is definately a shop for those of you who have a love of all things which are mosaic laden, twinkly, bejewelled or Indian/Moroccan inspired. Saying that they do have some great plain and simple outdoor lighting and this cream and black embroidered curtain panel. It measures 140cm wide by 230cm long and costs £29. It's new in, so is not part of their current Spring sale which ends this week. So if life is feeling a bit dreary, then add some sparkle from The Pier.

Pulfrost have a great range of window film starting from £17. They stock period and contemporary designs which can be cut to your specific size for decorative or privacy reasons. I think the house number or name done this way is a great finish to a house, as well as being a little bit different.

Then finish off with a cherry Spriza wall clock for £4.99 and a lima rug for £29.99. Then lie about where you bought them.

House Couturier has a beautiful and stylish range of floral and bespoke wallpapers, which can also be printed onto matching cottons or linens. They don't give their prices, which I presume means that they're too scary to contemplate. Their floral collection is not only elegant but also designed to appear as if the flowers are cascading down or growing up the walls. They also cater for a lot of your window issues in terms of blinds, shutters and dressings etc. but it is their wallpapers which are quite simply breathtaking.

They offer a clean and contemporary solution for any window where you need extra privacy and security, but do not want to sacrifice natural light. This glass door panel measures 40cm by 40cm and costs £32.

These 3D Butterfly curtains are just the right mix of pretty and stylish to keep both the men and women of the household happy. The effect is quite mesmerising with the double layer of lace giving the effect of fluttering wings juxtaposed against the natural light of the window. Throw out your net curtains (or make them into a picnic rug) and buy this gorgeous lacy film adhesive for your windows. It's available in blue or pink and and allows you to combine natural light with a decorative window display. It's available from Gollygosh in sheets measuring 100cm by 120 and was £47 but is now £28.20. Lots of privacy and bags of style.

Is it a work of art? A room divider? A curtain? It can be anything you want. Designed by the Bouroullec brothers and produced by Panton-chair manufacturer Vitra this DIY structure is made out of clip-together plastic seaweedy units. The cheapest online source I can find is Pure Design Classics who do 6 pieces for £15 or 50 for £60 in white, black, green or red. You need 25 per square metre.

Item Home have created a set of unusual pieces based on the light and acoustic properties of bone china. Susurrus is made from 300 porcelain bells with a steel or lattice suport and can be used in or outdoors. It is a bespoke installation and costs from £700 -£1,300 - a lot of money - but then you do get a lot of soothing chiming and tinkling throughout the day.
