Carole Sleight

Housebible was born out of my frustration at not being able to find good, affordable, quirky and often practical housey things quickly and in one place on the internet. I imagined that there were many people like me who hadn’t got hours to sit trawling though sites and who (like me) had young children and had waved goodbye to those days spent leisurely mooching round the shops. So we’ve done the research for you. Happy Shopping!

I live round the corner from Carole. We share a passion for good design – something I seek out constantly in my work as an interiors writer for the Observer and other publications. I find more things I like than I can write about for publication on paper. Most of these things have a place in my streamlined ecological dreamhouse overlooking the sea. In real life I live in a scruffy Victorian terraced house in East London with three scruffy children. I’d like to share some of my finds – from the fabulous to the practical and affordable.
